A London firm of immigration barristers was looking to increase their marketing and presence in the Chinese marketplace. Based in Central London, their business involves achieving visa and residency status for foreign nationals wishing to reside in the UK.
Richmond Chambers needed to promote their company in China to an intended audience of high net worth individuals. The key to credibility in China was a website which combined a similar look and feel to the Western brand but localised to the Chinese audience. In addition, Search optimisation on China's largest search engine, Baidu, was required to maximise potential enquiries.
Backbone IT developed a bespoke Chinese language website CMS platform fully localised for China with a focus on information and enquiry gathering. The website was optimised for the Baidu search engine. The hosting platform was provided using lightning-quick servers in Hong Kong to reach the Chinese market without the need for in-market Chinese ICP hosting approval.
The site and SEO were successful and generated a good flow of enquiries. Subsequently the Chinese website has been upgraded following a UK website rework and further China SEO activities have been undertaken.
