Iview Multimedia had been acquired by the Microsoft Corporation on account of their successful digital asset management software IView MediaPro, now known as Microsoft Expression Media. MediaPro was the leading 'Digital Asset Management' & cataloguing solution for creative professionals.
Maintaining prominence and client loyalty during merger or acquisition was a difficult challenge. Post acquisition by Microsoft, our company was paaroached with the brief to significantly increase web traffic, web sales, consumer visibility and loyalty prior to any assimilation into the Microsoft product range through digital marketing and search optimisation.
Microsoft & the team at IView approached Backbone IT due to our reputation as a partner who could achieve formidable rankings across search engines, whilst working within the tight branding and marketing constraints required in working with a major global corporation. In partnership with Microsoft in the US and Iview in the UK, significant increased online exposure was achieved. High volume target traffic for major competitive terms was forthcoming, enabling planned corporate acquisition to continue as planned. In the process, major rivals such as Adobe and Corel were eclipsed by IView Expression Media as the prominent Google first page listing.
Backbone IT Group was contracted by a retailer of environmental products to code an bespoke e-commerce system with a real-time integration with a legacystock control, pricing and invoicing system. Built within the .Net framework and deployed using Microsoft technology, Backbone IT Group was approached by Microsoft to be showcased due to expertise coding with Microsoft technologies. The resultant project was featured on Microsoft’s website.
